STRANGER! if you, passing, meet me, and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me?
And why should I not speak to you?
- Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass
Funny how we hesitate to talk to strangers now. and somehow prefer to hide behind a book, phone, or Ipod.Remember the time when you were a small kid, you saw another kid, and just asked him if he/she wanted to play? And then somewhere along the way, you were expected to be more discerning and selective about talking to strangers. So much for growing up.

I guess just shows how untrusty we've become of the world around :) ....Like someone said - ' Humans are the most dangerous of all animals ' . I wonder if it is true or we just make ourselves believe in something like that and never bother to check how valid the statement is !
Cheers ! - RoRi
I know, I stopped doing that. Somewhere along the way, when I was exploring Buddhism, I learned that music is a luxury, and something beautiful to be savored and enjoyed. So I went back to collecting records, and enjoying them while I'm at home, and can truly give them my ear, and gave my IPOD to my mom, who loves it. Plus, it's hella dangerous walking around with headphones on. I know plenty of people who do that and miss trains, I've heard of people getting mugged too.
I guess we all long for what we no longer have, but I think there's some ways we can get back to that. Taking the bus every once in a while helps, to say hello to new people, or libraries. try it, leave the IPOD home for a day or two, and see how you feel. =)
