  To a past long gone

  I believe that we were amazing. That the moments we spent cannot be replaced or tainted by the eons of time. And those memories, I will never forget.
  
  I believe that we were beautiful. That the day destiny made us come together would stay an indelible cherished memory. And that would never go away.
  
  I believed that beautiful things lasted forever. That we would be there yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And I wish I had known beauty is fleeting.
  
  I believed that we could hang in there in perpetuity. That if something continues long enough, you cannot change it. And I wish I knew change had to happen.
  
  I believe that now its a past long gone. That destiny had led me to you and that destiny had led me away. And that path, will never again be tread.
